Vocal steamer or nebulizer?
Choosing a vocal steamer for singers or a portable nebulizer starts with the type of mist you want: warm steam or non-heated aerosol.
Non-heated mist
A vibrating mesh turns suitable liquid into an aerosol. Choose this format if you want a rechargeable nebulizer with a mouthpiece.
Warm vapour
Heats water to make steam. Choose this format if warmth is what you want; some steam inhalers are cordless too.
The mechanism alone does not establish better vocal results. Neither replaces hydration, rest, technique or professional voice care.

Show your pharmacist the liquid label and the instructions for your selected model. Ask which formulation suits your device and needs, and where to obtain it. Do not use oils, homemade mixtures or drinking-water substitutes.

Still deciding?
Is a vocal nebulizer the same as a vocal steamer?
No. “Vocal nebulizer” describes a nebulizer used in a singer’s routine; it is not a steam inhaler. MY135 and MY131B are mesh nebulizers that create mist from suitable liquid without heating it into warm steam. If warm vapour is what you want, compare a steam inhaler instead.
Does it come with saline?
No. The kit includes the device, accessories and charging cable, but no saline or medication. Check the model instructions and professional advice before choosing a liquid. Do not use essential oils or homemade mixtures.
Will it improve my range or fix a tired voice?
We do not claim MY135 improves range, repairs vocal injury, or guarantees recovery. Voice care also involves hydration, rest and appropriate technique. If you have ongoing hoarseness, pain or other voice concerns, seek professional advice rather than pushing through.

They are different branded kits with different contents and support arrangements. The VocalMist kit reviewed here includes 48 Hydration Formula units; MY135 does not include liquid. Price alone cannot establish that two devices are equivalent, or that one gives better vocal results.
How do I clean it or troubleshoot weak mist?
Use the instructions for your selected model for the cup, contact pieces and charging setup. Avoid guessing at cleaning methods or scraping the mesh. The support page offers care checklists and a way to request the instructions for your exact version.
